SX5-4113011
Brake light: Lights up bright red when you press the brake pedal—tells drivers behind you to slow down (prevents rear-end crashes).
Turn signal: Blinks amber when you flip the left turn switch—lets others know you’re turning left or changing lanes to the left.
Reverse light: Turns on white when you shift into reverse—illuminates the area behind the SX5 (helps you see curbs or small obstacles) and warns others you’re backing up.
Parking light: Stays on dim red when the car is parked or the headlights are on—keeps the SX5 visible from behind at night, even when it’s not moving.
Fits These: All Dongfeng FMC SX5 variants (matches rear bumper/tailgate design, electrical system, and bulb layout—confirm with VIN).
Won’t Fit These:
Other Dongfeng models: Like H30, AX3, or Dignity ix5—different rear body shapes, bulb configurations, or wiring setups (tail lamp can’t attach or work properly).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if the shape looks similar, their electrical systems and mounting points differ (no functional use—lights won’t work).
SX5 with modified rear ends: Aftermarket rear bumpers or tailgates change the tail lamp opening size—original tail lamp won’t fit (leaves gaps or blocks light).
SX5’s right inner rear side: Left and right inner tail lamps are mirror images—this part is for the left side only (right side needs a different part number).
Prep: Turn off the SX5’s engine and disconnect the battery (avoids electric shocks). Open the rear trunk or access the tail lamp from inside the rear of the car (some models have a plastic cover to remove first).
Remove old tail lamp: Unplug the wiring plug from the back of the tail lamp (it clicks when released). Remove the 2–3 bolts/screws holding the tail lamp to the rear bumper/tailgate (use a socket wrench or Phillips screwdriver). Gently pull the old tail lamp backward to remove it.
Install new tail lamp: Slide SX5-4113011 into the mounting spot, align the brackets with the bolt holes, and tighten the bolts/screws (don’t over-tighten—you might crack the housing). Plug the wiring back in until it clicks.
Test: Reconnect the battery, turn on the headlights (check parking light), press the brake pedal (check brake light), flip the left turn switch (check turn signal), and shift into reverse (check reverse light)—ensure all functions work clearly.
Clean the lens weekly: Wipe the lens with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt, road salt, or bug guts—dirty lenses dim the light (other drivers might miss your signals).
Check bulbs monthly: Turn on all tail lamp functions (brake, turn signal, reverse, parking) to look for dim, flickering, or dead bulbs. Replace bad bulbs fast (a non-functional tail lamp is illegal and unsafe).
Inspect for water inside: If the lens fogs up from the inside, the seal is broken (water is getting in)—replace the tail lamp (water ruins bulbs and wiring).
Tighten bolts yearly: Make sure the mounting bolts/screws are tight—loose hardware causes the tail lamp to rattle or shift (signals might be misaligned).
Fits: All Dongfeng FMC SX5 variants (matches rear bumper/tailgate design, electrical system, and bulb layout; confirm via VIN).
Won’t Fit: Other Dongfeng models (e.g., H30, AX3), non-Dongfeng vehicles, SX5 with modified rear ends, or SX5’s right inner rear side (left/right are mirror images).
Brake light: Bright red illumination to alert rear drivers of slowing/stopping.
Turn signal: Amber blinking to indicate left turns/lane changes.
Reverse light: White light to illuminate rear areas and warn others of backing up.
Parking light: Dim red light to keep the SX5 visible when parked or with headlights on.
Prep: Turn off the engine, disconnect the battery, and access the tail lamp via the rear trunk (remove plastic cover if needed).
Remove old unit: Unplug the wiring, remove 2–3 mounting bolts/screws, and pull the old lamp backward.
Install new unit: Slide SX5-4113011 into place, align brackets, tighten hardware gently, and reconnect wiring.
Test: Reconnect the battery and verify all functions (brake, turn signal, reverse, parking light) work clearly.
