SA12-34-380
Impact Softening: Absorbs the “last bit” of harsh impact that the shock absorber misses—smoothing out rough roads and making the ride more comfortable for passengers (especially over potholes or speed bumps).
Noise Reduction: Acts as a barrier between metal suspension parts—prevents the shock absorber from hitting the frame or other components, which eliminates rattling, clunking, or squeaking noises during driving.
Shock Protection: Shields the shock absorber’s piston rod and seal from dirt, debris, and excessive compression—stops the rod from getting scratched (which causes oil leaks) and limits wear on the shock’s internal valves.
Fits: All Haima S5 variants (matches the S5’s front/rear shock absorber diameter, mounting style, and suspension layout; confirm via VIN—note differences between 2WD/4WD models if applicable).
Won’t Fit:
Other Haima models: Like Haima 8S, Haima M3, or Haima F7—different shock absorber sizes, suspension designs, or mounting points (cushion won’t fit the shock or suspension frame).
Non-Haima vehicles: Even if the shape looks similar, their shock absorber diameters and suspension clearances differ (no functional fit—cushion is too loose/tight, causing noise or failure).
Aftermarket Shocks for Haima S5: Only works with Haima S5’s original shock absorbers—aftermarket shocks may have different outer diameters that don’t match the cushion’s grooves.
Prep: Lift the Haima S5 safely with a jack and secure it on stands. Locate the shock absorber (front: near the front wheels; rear: near the rear wheels) and find the old cushion (usually around the shock’s top or bottom).
Remove Old Cushion: If the cushion is on the shock rod, slide it off (use a flathead screwdriver to pry gently if it’s stuck). If it’s on the shock tube, remove any clips holding it in place, then pull it off.
Install New Cushion: Slide the SA12-34-380 onto the shock absorber, aligning the mounting grooves with the shock’s shape. Push it firmly into place—ensure it sits snugly (no gaps or movement). Reinstall any clips if needed.
Test: Lower the car and take a short drive over a bumpy road—check for reduced noise and smoother impacts. If the cushion shifts, stop and reposition it.
Monthly Visual Checks: Look for cracks, tears, or hardening of the cushion (old rubber gets stiff and loses flexibility)—replace it if damaged (stiff cushions can’t absorb impacts).
Clean Regularly: Wipe the cushion with a damp cloth to remove dirt, oil, or road salt—these substances speed up rubber aging and cause cracking.
Avoid Overloading: Don’t carry excessive weight in the Haima S5 (e.g., overpacking the trunk)—extra weight puts more pressure on the cushion, leading to premature compression set.
Winter Care: After snow or ice, rinse the cushion with water to remove salt—salt dries out rubber and makes it brittle (common in cold weather)
