Easy Door Access: Provides a comfortable grip to pull and release the door lock—no struggling with hard-to-reach mechanisms, even for kids or older passengers.
Exterior Coordination: Matches the X22 Cross’s front-end design (curves, material texture, or even color if painted) —keeps the car’s outside looking cohesive and factory-fresh.
Lock Protection: Covers and shields the door’s internal lock linkage from rain, dust, and road debris—prevents rust or jamming that would break the lock over time.
Fits: Chery X22 Cross models (matches the right front door’s mounting holes, lock linkage position, and exterior design; confirm via VIN—critical for painted handles to match your car’s color).
Won’t Fit:
Other Chery Models: Like Tiggo 7 Pro or Arrizo 8—different door shapes, lock linkage setups, or handle sizes (won’t attach or work).
Non-Chery Vehicles: Even if it looks similar, their door panels and lock systems differ (no functional fit—handle won’t open the door).
Chery X22 Cross Left Front Door: Left and right handles are mirror images (linkage slots face opposite directions)—this is only for the right side.
Prep: Open the X22 Cross’s right front door. Use a panel tool to gently pry off the small plastic cover inside the door (near the handle) to access the mounting screws.
Remove Old Handle: Unscrew the bolts holding the old handle to the door from the inside. Push the handle outward slightly to disconnect the internal linkage, then pull it off the door.
Install New Handle: Connect the 403002653AADQJ’s linkage slot to the door’s lock rod. Push the handle into place on the door’s outer panel, then screw it tight from the inside. Replace the plastic cover.
Test: Close and open the door a few times—check that the handle pulls smoothly and the door locks/unlocks correctly. No sticking or loose movement means it’s installed right.
Weekly Wipes: Clean the handle with a damp cloth to remove dirt, road salt, or bird droppings—these can scratch the surface or damage the weather seal.
Check for Looseness: Every month, gently wiggle the handle—if it feels loose, tighten the internal screws (loose handles can break the linkage over time).
Avoid Force: Don’t pull the handle hard if the door is stuck (e.g., frozen in winter)—this can bend the internal linkage. Warm the door first (with a defroster) before opening.
Seal Check: If rain gets into the door, inspect the weather seal—replace the handle if the seal is cracked (it can’t be fixed separately).
