SX5G-2804532
Hold the bumper: Keeps the rear bumper firmly attached to the chassis. Even on bumpy roads, it won’t let the bumper sag, shift, or fall off.
Keep it straight: Makes sure the rear bumper lines up perfectly with the Lamari (T5)’s back body parts (like the tailgate or rear fenders). No uneven gaps that mess up how the car looks or let in dirt and water.
Soak up small hits: Takes in the force from slow rear impacts (like parking too close to another car). Protects the bumper from cracking and the back of the car from getting dents.
Fits: All Dongfeng Lamari (T5) variants (matches the rear chassis dimensions, bumper attachment points, and weight capacity; confirm via VIN—note differences between trim levels with different bumper designs if applicable).
Won’t Fit:
Other Dongfeng models: Like FMC SX5, AX7, or Kunpeng C01—different rear chassis shapes, bumper sizes, or mounting layouts (bracket won’t attach or support the bumper).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if the shape looks similar, their rear body proportions and bumper weights differ (no functional fit—bumper sag or misalignment).
Dongfeng Lamari (T5)’s left rear bumper bracket: Left and right brackets are mirror images (different mounting hole positions and edge reinforcement)—this part is for the right only (left needs a different part number).
Prep: Park the Lamari (T5) on a flat surface. Use a jack to lift the rear end slightly (for easier access). Locate the old right rear bumper bracket (behind the right side of the rear bumper).
Remove Old Bracket: Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts connecting the bracket to the chassis and bumper. Gently pull the bumper away from the body (just enough to access the bracket) and take out the old part.
Install New Bracket: Position the SX5G-2804532 in place, aligning its mounting holes with the chassis and bumper. Bolt it tightly (follow Dongfeng’s torque specs—too loose causes bumper movement). Push the bumper back into place to ensure alignment.
Test: Lower the car and check the rear bumper—ensure no gaps or sagging. Gently push the right side of the bumper to confirm it’s secure (no movement).
Monthly Visual Checks: Look for cracks, breaks, or loose bolts on the bracket—replace it if damaged (a cracked bracket can’t support the bumper).
After Minor Impacts: Inspect the bracket after low-speed rear bumps—even if the bumper looks fine, the bracket might be bent (leading to future sagging).
Clean Regularly: Wipe the bracket with a damp cloth to remove dirt, mud, or road salt—these substances can speed up rust (for steel brackets) or plastic degradation.
Avoid Overloading Rear: Don’t carry excessive weight in the Lamari (T5)’s trunk or tow beyond capacity—extra rear weight puts more stress on the bracket, leading to premature wear.
