BX3-2904020B
Keep wheels in line: Holds the right front wheel exactly where the factory set it (toe, camber, caster—don’t worry about the jargon). This stops the tire from scraping, wearing unevenly, and wasting gas.
Steer precisely: Sends your steering moves from the system to the wheel—so the SX5 turns exactly how you want it, no “play” or delay. Super important for merging on the highway or tight parking.
Soak up vibrations: The bushings take in small bumps and shakes from the road—keeps the cabin quiet and comfy, and protects the frame from too much stress.
Fits: All Dongfeng FMC SX5 variants (matches suspension geometry, bushing size, and mounting points; confirm via VIN—note differences between 2WD/4WD models if applicable).
Won’t Fit:
Other Dongfeng models: Like H30, AX3, or Dignity ix5—different suspension designs, arm lengths, or bushing types (control arm won’t attach or causes misalignment).
Non-Dongfeng vehicles: Even if the shape looks similar, their frame mounting holes and wheel hub connections differ (no functional fit—steering drift or tire wear).
Dongfeng FMC SX5’s left side: Left and right front control arms are mirror images (different bushing positions and ball joint angles)—this part is for the right only (left side needs a different part number).
Prep: Lift the SX5 safely with a jack and secure it on stands. Remove the right front wheel to access the control arm.
Remove Old Arm: Disconnect the ball joint from the wheel hub (use a ball joint separator tool). Unbolt the bushings from the frame, then pull the old arm out.
Install New Arm: Align BX3-2904020B with the frame and wheel hub. Bolt the bushings tight (follow Dongfeng’s torque specs) and reattach the ball joint.
Post-Install Check: Reinstall the wheel, lower the car, and get a professional wheel alignment (critical—misalignment causes tire wear and poor steering).
Monthly Visual Checks: Look for cracked bushings (dry, split rubber), bent arm metal, or loose ball joints (wiggle the wheel—excessive play means worn joints).
Listen for Noises: A clunking or rattling sound from the right front when hitting bumps means bushings or ball joints are worn—replace immediately.
Avoid Overloading: Don’t carry excessive weight on the right front (e.g., heavy cargo on one side)—puts extra stress on the control arm, leading to premature wear.
Road Care: Avoid deep potholes or curbs—hard impacts can bend the arm or damage bushings (even if no visible damage, alignment may be off).
